November 17, 2011 at West Hartford Fire Station 3 on New Britian Ave. Toured station and demo of the equipment and presentation on the hazmat gear.

October 11th., John Powell from Advanced Fiber Products talked about the basics of fiber technology, terminology, and its broadcast application, with a focus on real-world, field use. This presentation is designed to be a refresher and technology update for the station engineer who hasn't had to deal extensively with fiber up to this point.

September 21st. at WQUN (3085 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT) Frank Grundstein from Logitek discussed network audio consoles.

Thursday, July 21 at the Comsite facility on Rattlesnake Mountain in Farmington, 6pm. Criss Onan from Broadcast Electronics will be doing a presentation on his products.

June 8, 7pm at HB Communications (60 Dodge Ave, North Haven, CT). Eric Zaino from Matrox demonstrated the new Matrox Convert DVI Plus HD-SDI scan converter that lets broadcasters easily and economically take the computer-based content that is quickly becoming a key part of the nightly news to air.

May, 2011 -Gary Liebisch from Nautel demonstrating new low power FM transmitters, followed by a tour of Tribune WTIC-TV and WCCT-TV Studios at the Hartford Courant building with David Honeywell.

April, 2011 Presentation of new measurement equipment from Rhode & Schwarz, Caset Johansen gave tour of AT&T SWAT office in Middletown, CT.

June 2010 - Jim Barnard, Lightning Protection Institute Certified Master Designer from Northeast Lightning Protection of Bloomfield will provide a review of proper lightning protection system design and application as conforms with UL and NFPA lightning protection requirements.

February, 2009 - Meeting at ARRL in Newington, CT.  Tour of facility and W1AW. Chris Larson of Stream Alerts talks about monitoring services for streaming audio.

March, 2009 - Meeting at Quinnipiac University, Hamden, CT.  Linear Acoustic, Inc. of Lancaster, PA provided a presentation on "audio loudness" as it relates to broadcast audio processing.  They will explain how metadata works, the differences between wide band and multiband processing, etc.
